Events and Programs

To register for any program, just give us a call at 252.745.3515 or stop by. Registration generally begins two weeks before an event, and some programs have limited space.

Book Clubs
Adult Book to Film For ages 16+. Titles are read during the month and followed by a movie presentation. Discussion and comparison are welcomed after the film.

StoryTimes (Preschool & Lap Time) Join Ms. Fran for stories, crafts and songs. Lap time is for infants and toddlers learning to read and sing with their parents.

Family Movie Families are invited to enjoy a G/PG movie. Families are welcome to bring lunch and snacks.

Computer Classes The library is pleased to offer free beginning computer classes. Check the circulation desk for information and registration.

Professional Series Further your career with our Professional Series. Classes include Microsoft Office programs, resume building, employment application preparation, interviewing skills and techniques.

Tech Time Tech Time is a one-on-one 15 minute technologic instruction. Registration required.

Teen Library Council For ages 13-18. This is a dynamic group that chooses Young Adult titles, programming and design for the teen area.

Anime Clubs (Junior and Young Adult) Have fun with anime and manga with films, literature and more.

Knitting This class is for those interested in learning how to knit and for more experienced knitters wanting new ideas and patterns. All levels welcome. Tuesdays, June 6, 13, 20, 27 at 12pm.

Summer Reading Program Our summer reading program includes the whole family and has great interactive events. Starting June 12th! 

Friends of the Library Join the Friends of the Library to support literacy and future library programs.

Special Events Throughout the year, the library entertains special events such as art classes, fall festival, author signings, gaming days, visits from the local rescue, Santa and much more.
